Das israelische Militär sagt, es habe Hassan Nasrallah, den Führer der Hisbollah, bei einem Luftangriff in Beirut getötet.

Der Angriff fand am späten Freitagabend statt und sollte das Hauptquartier der Hisbollah treffen. Nasrallah war rund 30 Jahre lang der Anführer der Hisbollah und war wichtig für den Erfolg der Gruppe. Auch einige andere führende Köpfe kamen bei dem Angriff ums Leben. Das israelische Militär hat diese Operation von langer Hand geplant und ist zu weiteren Aktionen gegen jeden bereit, der es bedroht.
