An den Stränden Sri Lankas gibt es ein großes Problem. Ein Schiff sinkt im Meer. Kleine Plastikkugeln, Öl und gefährliche Chemikalien gelangen an Land.

Diese Plastikbälle werden Nurdles genannt. Fische und andere Tiere können sie fressen und krank werden. Die Fischer sind besorgt. Viele Menschen reinigen den Strand, aber es ist schwer. Im Jahr 2021 brennt ein weiteres Schiff in der Nähe der Küste. Dieses Schiff muss Geld dafür bezahlen, dass es der Natur geschadet hat.

Jetzt wollen die Menschen das Gleiche. Sie wollen bessere Regeln und Instrumente, damit so etwas nicht noch einmal passiert. Sri Lanka muss das Meer sauber halten und den Tieren helfen.
