Eine Frau namens Dahbia Benkired geht für den Rest ihres Lebens ins Gefängnis. Sie tötet ein 12-jähriges Mädchen, Lola, in Paris.

Dahbia kommt aus Algerien. Sie lebt ohne offizielle Papiere in Frankreich. Vor Gericht sagt sie wenig und sieht kalt aus. Es tut ihr nicht leid um das kleine Mädchen. Viele Menschen in Frankreich sind traurig und wütend. Sie reden über Regeln für Menschen, die aus anderen Ländern kommen.

Der Richter sagt, dass Dahbia nicht aus dem Gefängnis gehen kann. Vielleicht können sich die Richter nach 30 Jahren noch einmal mit ihrem Fall befassen. Lolas Familie ist sehr traurig und weint im Gerichtssaal.
