Michael lebt in New York. Er liebt Vögel, vor allem Tauben. Das Leben in einer Großstadt ist für Tauben schwer. Sie haben nichts zu fressen, und es gibt viele Autos.

Manchmal verfängt sich Haar oder Schnur um die Fußzehen eines Vogels. Das tut dem Vogel sehr weh. Michael findet diese Vögel und hilft ihnen. Er schneidet die Schnur mit einer Schere durch. Dann kann der Vogel wieder fliegen und glücklich sein. Manche Vögel sind sehr krank, deshalb gehen sie zum Tierarzt.

Michael sagt, dass wir freundlich zu Tieren sein müssen. Es ist etwas sehr Gutes, einem kleinen Vogel zu helfen, am Leben zu bleiben.
