FRIDA ist ein Roboter, der malen kann. Er sieht aus wie ein Roboterarm mit einem Pinsel.

Ein Bediener sagt FRIDA, welches Konzept er malen soll. Der Roboter macht dann einen Plan, was er malen soll, und bereitet eine Palette vor. Wenn der Roboter mit dem Malen beginnt, überprüft eine Überkopfkamera seine Arbeit. Wenn FRIDA einen Fehler macht, fügt er den Fleck in das Bild ein. Das ist dasselbe, was Künstler/innen tun.

Es ist schwer zu sagen, ob FRIDA ein Maler ist oder nicht. Malerinnen und Maler beobachten die Welt um sich herum und hören zu, was die Leute sagen, und dann destillieren sie ihre Ideen in ein Gemälde. In gewisser Weise ist es auch das, was der Roboter tut.
