In dem Film geht es um das Leben von Enzo Ferrari im Jahr 1957. Ferrari hat Probleme mit seiner Firma, seinem Privatleben und mit dem Rennen gegen Maserati. Es gibt spannende Szenen in dem Film. Ein anderer Schauspieler, Patrick Dempsey, fährt Autos, die genauso aussehen wie die echten Ferrari-Autos. Diese Autos klingen auch wie echte Autos.

Der Film versucht, bei den Filmfestspielen in Venedig einen Sonderpreis zu gewinnen.
