England verliert das Finale der Euro 2024 gegen Spanien mit 2:1. Vor drei Jahren verlor England im Finale gegen Italien. Southgate ist 53 Jahre alt. Er führt die Mannschaft seit acht Jahren und 102 Spielen. Er sagt, er sei glücklich, England zu managen. Nach dem Spiel gegen Spanien ist sich Southgate über seine Zukunft nicht sicher. Und jetzt will er gehen.

Southgate führt England ins Halbfinale der Weltmeisterschaft 2018 und in zwei europäische Endspiele. Aber einigen Leuten gefällt nicht, wie England bei der Europameisterschaft 2024 spielt. In seiner Verabschiedung dankt er seinen Spielern und Mitarbeitern. Er hofft, dass die Mannschaft auch in Zukunft gut spielen wird.
