Eine erstaunliche Animation zeigt den belebten Luftraum über Europa im Sommer. Kleine weiße Punkte stellen Flugzeuge dar, die unterwegs sind.

Die Animation verwendet Informationen aus Radardaten vom 21. Juni 2013 und Flugplänen vom 28. Juli 2013. Jeden Tag im Juli gibt es durchschnittlich 30.000 Flüge über Europa. Diese Flüge legen zusammen eine Strecke von 25 Millionen Seemeilen (über 46 Millionen Kilometer) zurück.

Das Video zeigt zwei Londoner Flughäfen. Am 21. Juni starteten und landeten 5.675 Flugzeuge von britischen Flughäfen.
