Der Irak hat ein großes Transitprojekt. Es heißt Entwicklungsstraßenprojekt. Es wird den Hafen von Grand Faw mit der Türkei verbinden.

Das Projekt wird 17 Milliarden Dollar kosten. Der Plan ist, den Irak zu einem Transitknotenpunkt zu machen. Die Reisezeit zwischen Asien und Europa wird kürzer sein als durch den Suezkanal. Es wird Hochgeschwindigkeitszüge geben. Auch lokale Unternehmen werden angeschlossen. Es wird Öl- und Gaspipelines geben.

Die Infrastruktur im Irak ist nicht gut. Aber die Regierung glaubt, dass das Projekt erfolgreich sein kann. Die Situation im Land ist jetzt ohne große Probleme.
