In Afrika gibt es eine neue Fußballliga. Sie heißt African Football League.

Die Liga beginnt in Tansania mit acht Mannschaften. Simba spielt gegen Al Ahly. Das Ergebnis ist 2:2. Die Mannschaften werden in Kairo erneut gegeneinander spielen. Die Liga entspricht nicht genau dem, was FIFA-Präsident Gianni Infantino anfangs wollte. Er will ein größeres Turnier mit mehr Preisgeld. Aber die Liga ist anders. Sie ist wie ein kurzer Wettbewerb, der nur 17 Tage dauert. Jede Mannschaft bekommt 1 Million Dollar. Der Sieger erhält 4 Millionen Dollar. Nur ein Sponsor, Visit Saudi, hilft bei der Liga. Die Liga könnte nächstes Jahr größer werden. Aber im Moment ist sie wie ein kleines Turnier.
