In Missouri, USA, befand sich Xavier Cunningham in einem Baum, als er von Insekten angegriffen wurde. Er fiel auf einen Fleischspieß, der in seinen Schädel eindrang, aber an wichtigen Arterien in seinem Gehirn vorbeiging.

Ärzte an der Universität von Kansas konnten ihn mit Hilfe von etwa 100 Chirurgen und Ärzten, die dem Jungen bei der Operation halfen, entfernen. Die Ärzte sagten, dass sein Überleben “ein Wunder” war.
