Für die US-Pläne wurden die Preise um 1 bis 2 Dollar erhöht, so dass die Preise jetzt zwischen 5,99 und 16,99 Dollar liegen. Das Unternehmen sagte, dass dies Fans und Künstler bei Laune halten würde. Um mehr Gewinn zu machen, hat Spotify außerdem viele Mitarbeiter/innen entlassen und seine Podcast-Einheit verändert, für die es viel Geld ausgegeben hat.

Andere Streaming-Dienste wie Apple, Amazon, Tidal und YouTube Premium haben ihre Preise ebenfalls erhöht, um mehr Geld zu verdienen.
