Zehntausend Männer tanzen – Stufe 2

Saman ist ein beliebter Tanz in Indonesien und wurde 2011 von der UNESCO anerkannt. Er wird auch der Tanz der tausend Hände genannt.

Über 10.000 Männer in Aceh, einem Gebiet in Sumatra, führten den Tanz auf. Sie brachen damit den nationalen Rekord für den größten Saman-Tanz. Die Acehnesen führen ihn traditionell einmal im Jahr auf, um nach der Ernte ihre Einigkeit zu zeigen.

Der Generaldirektor für Kultur sagte, die Veranstaltung zeige, dass die Menschen ihre Kultur noch immer hochhalten.
