Der Coronation Chair ist ein Stuhl, der für die Krönung der britischen Könige und Königinnen bestimmt ist.
Der Stuhl ist mehr als 700 Jahre alt. König Edward I. ließ den Stuhl im Jahr 1296 anfertigen. In dem Stuhl befindet sich ein besonderer Stein aus Schottland. Er wird der Stein des Schicksals genannt. Der Stuhl ist außerdem mit farbigem Glas und Gold beschichtet. Aber im Laufe der Jahre wird der Stuhl alt. Es ist notwendig, ihn wieder wie neu aussehen zu lassen.
Die Krönung fast aller britischen Könige und Königinnen findet auf diesem Stuhl statt. König Karls eigene Mutter, Elisabeth II., wird auf dem Stuhl zur Königin gekrönt. Am 6. Mai wird auch Charles III. auf diesem Stuhl offiziell zum König gekrönt.
