Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler untersuchen die Luftverschmutzung. Von 1999 bis 2015 untersuchen sie diese in den USA. Sie beobachten, wie viel Feinstaub in der Luft ist.

Dieser Feinstaub stammt aus der Industrie, aus Kraftwerken und vor allem aus Autos. Ein Teil des Feinstaubs ist 30 Mal kleiner als ein menschliches Haar. Wenn du den Feinstaub einatmest, kann er tief in deinen Körper eindringen.

Die Wissenschaftler stellen fest, dass es immer weniger von diesem Feinstaub gibt. Trotzdem ist die Verschmutzung gefährlich. Sie steht in Verbindung mit dem Tod von 30.000 Menschen.
