Cholera-Ausbruch in Simbabwe – Stufe 1

In Simbabwe stellt die Regierung strenge Regeln auf. Viele Menschen sind an Cholera erkrankt.

Diese Woche sind mehr als 12.200 neue Fälle aufgetreten. Das ist die höchste Zahl seit Februar. Die Regierung stoppt große Versammlungen oder den Verkauf von Lebensmitteln. In der Hauptstadt Harare herrscht der Notstand. Viele Menschen werden dort krank. In einem armen Ort namens Kadana sieht es auch nicht gut aus. Die Menschen bekommen nicht immer sauberes Wasser. Die Straßen sind schmutzig.

Die Regierung gibt Tabletten für sauberes Wasser aus. Ungefähr 155 Menschen sterben und etwa 8.800 werden krank, seit dieses Problem aufgetreten ist. Die Menschen sind besorgt, denn 2008 starben in Simbabwe mehr als 4.000 Menschen an Cholera.
