Das Museum of the City of New York hat eine lustige Veranstaltung. Es heißt ‘Gingerbread NYC‘. Viele Bäckerinnen und Bäcker aus den fünf Teilen der Stadt nehmen daran teil.

Die Bäcker stellen Gebäude und Orte in New York mit Lebkuchen her. Die Leute können die Freiheitsstatue, eine Fähre, eine Straßenbahn und eine U-Bahn-Station sehen. Es gibt auch eine Straße aus A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Ein Bäcker macht einen großen Bagel mit Frischkäse. Ein anderer Bäcker stellt eine Broadway-Bühne mit Figuren aus berühmten Shows her.

Die Veranstaltung ist bis zum 19. Januar geöffnet. Die Leute können kommen, sich umsehen und für den Lebkuchen stimmen, der ihnen gefällt.
