Manchester United wird ein neues Stadion mit 100.000 Plätzen bauen und damit das größte in Großbritannien.

Der Verein sagt, es wird das größte Stadion der Welt sein. Es wird der Wirtschaft helfen, indem es jedes Jahr 7,3 Milliarden Pfund einbringt. Es ist auch Teil eines Plans zur Verbesserung des Stadtteils Old Trafford. Das Projekt wird 92.000 Arbeitsplätze und 17.000 Wohnungen schaffen. Sir Jim Ratcliffe ist einer der Eigentümer des Clubs. Er sagte, dass Old Trafford 115 Jahre lang ein großartiges Stadion war, aber jetzt ist es alt. Das neue Stadion wird direkt daneben stehen und die Geschichte des Vereins bewahren, aber modern machen.

Die Regierung will den Norden Englands verbessern, und Manchester United glaubt, dass dieses Stadion dabei helfen wird. Sie hoffen, dass es so berühmt sein wird wie Wembley oder der Eiffelturm.
