Real Madrid gewann seinen 15. Champions-League-Titel durch einen 2:0-Sieg gegen Borussia Dortmund im Wembley-Stadion. Dortmund spielte in der ersten Halbzeit gut mit, aber Real Madrid war in der zweiten Halbzeit besser. Vinicius Junior traf in der 83. Minute und Dani Carvajal erzielte neun Minuten vorher ein Tor. Madrids Torwart Thibaut Courtois machte viele wichtige Paraden, und Niclas Fullkrug hätte fast ein Tor erzielt, traf aber nur den Pfosten. Dortmunds Trainer machte seine Sache in der ersten Halbzeit gut, aber Madrids Trainer nahm in der zweiten Halbzeit gute Änderungen vor. Jude Bellingham half Vinicius Junior, das letzte Tor zu erzielen. Dieses Tor beendete die Hoffnungen der Dortmunder auf einen Sieg. Real Madrid hat gezeigt, dass sie wichtige Spiele gewinnen können. Spaniens Premierminister Pedro Sánchez gratulierte der Mannschaft.
